Aurora Tech Award 2026 – Global Prize for Women-Led Tech Startups(Up to US$85,000 Prizes)
Share

The Aurora Tech Award — created and supported by inDrive — is a global prize dedicated to women founders of tech startups. The focus is on early-stage tech companies led or co-founded by women, offering them funding, mentorship, and access to a global network of investors and strategic partners.

What You’ll Receive

  • A total prize pool of approximately US$85,000, with top prizes such as US$50,000 for first place.
  • Access to mentorship programmes led by industry experts, VCs, and startup veterans.
  • Exposure to global investor networks, media coverage, and participation in the Aurora community of women tech founders.

Who Should Apply

To qualify, your startup should meet these criteria:

  • Founded or co-founded and led by a woman.
  • Have a functional prototype or MVP of a product, technology, or service.
  • The startup should be less than 5 years old and have raised funding under the threshold set (e.g., under US$6 million).
  • Operating in tech or IT fields (including but not limited to fintech, health-tech, agri-tech, SaaS, AI).

Deadline & Application

🗓️ Applications are open until 12 November 2025.
👉 Apply here: Aurora Tech Award Official Website

Why It Matters

Women-led startups continue to receive a small share of venture capital — only ~2.3% of global VC funding goes to female-founded tech companies. (Aurora Tech Award)
The Aurora Tech Award seeks to correct this imbalance by giving women founders access to not just funding, but networks, mentorship, and visibility to scale globally.

Tips for a Strong Application

  • Clearly explain your problem-solution fit and why your tech matters in your target market.
  • Highlight your team composition and why your founder(s) are well suited to lead this venture.
  • Provide evidence of early traction or prototype development.
  • Show scalability potential and readiness for growth, plus how funding will accelerate your next milestone.
  • Use the educational material offered by Aurora to refine your application: they provide guides on pitch deck, measuring impact, and fundraising. (Aurora Tech Award)
