The Borno State Government, in collaboration with the Federal Government, has launched the Ngarannam Livestock Estate, a state-of-the-art facility aimed at transforming Nigeria’s agricultural landscape and boosting small livestock businesses.
The estate, equipped with veterinary clinics, dairy and beef improvement centers, and milk collection hubs, seeks to improve livestock health, product quality, and market access. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to modernize the livestock sector and drive economic growth.
In alignment with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the project focuses on innovation, self-sufficiency, and sustainable food production. It is expected to enhance food and nutrition security while providing new opportunities for small-scale farmers and agricultural businesses.
The Ngarannam Livestock Estate is set to serve as a model for future agricultural projects, empowering local farmers, promoting economic development, and positioning Nigeria as a leader in global livestock production. The initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of both the federal and state governments to build a more inclusive agricultural ecosystem and ensure long-term food security.
