British Council Launches Climate Skills Global Collaboration Grants 2025 — £85,000 for Joint Green Entrepreneurship Projects

The British Council has announced the Climate Skills Global Collaboration Grants 2025, a funding programme designed to promote green entrepreneurship and climate-related skills training for young people aged 18–30.

This initiative strengthens international partnerships between UK institutions and global organisations to design and deliver innovative training programmes that prepare youth for a sustainable, inclusive, and climate-resilient future.

 Funding Details

Selected partnerships will receive up to £85,000 to support collaborative projects lasting approximately nine and a half months.

The funding can be used for:

Curriculum development on green and climate-smart skills.

Youth training programmes focused on sustainable entrepreneurship.

Innovation exchanges between the UK and global partners.

Pilot or scalable models of climate education.

 Who Can Apply

Eligible applicants include:

UK higher education or TVET institutions.

Partner organisations from eligible countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

Partnerships must demonstrate:

Strong institutional commitment to sustainability.

Inclusion of gender and social equity principles.

Clear strategies for measurable youth impact in green and climate resilience sectors.

As the world transitions toward a low-carbon economy, equipping young people with climate-relevant skills has never been more critical. The Climate Skills Global Collaboration Grants offer a unique chance for African institutions to co-create with UK partners and shape the future of green innovation and entrepreneurship.

Institutions and organisations ready to empower young people through green innovation should apply before November 17, 2025.
