The Business Intern, a program dedicated to empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), has concluded its third season by awarding N2.5 million to three businesses for their innovation and impact.
The initiative provides grants, mentorship, and strategic support to small businesses, fostering innovation and sustainability in entrepreneurship. As it expands, The Business Intern remains committed to identifying and nurturing the next generation of business leaders.
Following a competitive selection process featuring hundreds of entrepreneurs, Ace Wholesome Foods, led by Fatima Owolewa, emerged as the first-place winner. The company specializes in producing nutritious baby food, offering affordable and healthy options for parents seeking a strong nutritional foundation for their children.
Theodora Fragrances, founded byToluwani Shogaolu, secured second place for its high-quality diffusers and perfumes, which have gained significant consumer attention for their unique and captivating scents at affordable prices.
The Voters’ Choice Award was claimed by A.jhay Signatures, an eco-friendly brand led by Janet Noah that focuses on revamping textiles with creative and sustainable designs. The award reflects strong community support for the brand’s innovative approach to fashion sustainability.
Dr. Akhidenor Ernest, founder of The Business Intern Launchpad, commended the winners and participants for their dedication and business acumen. “We are incredibly proud of the entrepreneurs who took part in this program. Their creativity and resilience reaffirm our commitment to equipping MSMEs with the resources and mentorship they need to thrive,” he said.
The success of this season was made possible by the collective efforts of the Business Intern team, including Mawahib Adams, Moyo Olusola, Olaoluwa Oluwasola, and Kingsley Enem, whose guidance and expertise supported participants throughout the competition.
