Call for Applications: 3MTT Innovation Challenge 2024 for Women

To commemorate International Women’s Day 2024, the Federal Ministry of Information, Innovation, and Digital Economy, in collaboration with 3MTT, is organizing an innovation challenge for women.

According to the minister of Information, Innovation and digital economy on X, he said:

I’m a big advocate for female participation in the workforce, especially in technology, and as we build up to International Women’s Day 2024, I am pleased to announce a collaboration between our @3MTTNigeria programme and HerTechHub, an initiative of the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Women Affairs, Engr. Fatima Abubakar-Faruk.

Participate in 2 challenges organized by HerTechHub and 3MTT and stand a chance to win one of 370 laptops, 774 tablets, internship opportunities as well as a share of 6 million naira

Challenge 1: An Innovation Challenge for Women

This challenge is the CommuniTech Innovation Challenge for Women. It involves developing innovative solutions to local community problems using technology.

In summary, for this challenge, develop innovative solutions to problems in your local communities leveraging on technology.

How to participate in this challenge

    • Come up with an innovative solution to community problems leveraging on technology.
    • The solution must be impact-driven sustainable and viable.
  • To participate in this challenge, fill out this form
  • Deadline: 3rd of March, 2024

Prizes for this challenge:

  • 6 million naira up for grabs for 6 winners.

Challenge 2: Knowledge Showcase for Women

This is a Special #IWD2024 (International Women’s Day 2024) Edition of the Knowledge Showcase, exclusively for women, where they can record a short video on their learning so far in the 3MTT program.

How to apply for this challenge

    • Create a 2 minutes video that explains what you have learned so far in your 3MTT journey.
    • Post it on social media using the hashtag #HertechhubX3MTT and IWD2024.
    • Tag @3MTTNigeria and include your community ID in your post.

Prizes for this challenge:

  • 370 laptops
  • 774 Tablets
  • 100 Internship openings
