The Africa Creative Market (ACM), in partnership with Ascend Studios Foundation, AWS, and Co-Creation Hub,is excited to announce the ACM 2025 Hackathon— an innovation-driven challenge bringing together Africa’s brightest minds to solve one of the continent’s biggest creative economy challenges: music and film distribution.
The African creative industry is expanding rapidly, but distribution remains a major barrier to growth. From piracy and fragmented platforms to limited access for global audiences, these challenges prevent artists and filmmakers from maximizing their potential. The ACM Hackathon is designed to change that. This year, participants will work on multi-layered, scalable, and technology-powered solutions that can redefine how African music and film reach local and global markets.
