The Boost Your Business Workshop, brought to you by NerdzFactory Foundation, through the support of Access, is designed to engage and empower women and youth-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to thrive in a competitive market

According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS, 2023), small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) contribute 48% of Nigeria’s GDP and employ over 84% of the workforce. Lagos, as the commercial hub, accounts for a substantial share of this. In Lagos alone, SMEs represent about 80% of the state’s businesses and provide 75% of employment, making them a critical driver of both economic activity and job creation. This entrepreneurial base not only supports domestic economic growth but also positions Lagos as a key player in West Africa’s economic.

About the Boost Your Business Workshop

The Boost Your Business Workshop is a virtual program set to empower women and youth-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with essential skills and tools necessary to scale, thrive, and drive sustainable business growth.

The Boost Your Business Workshop offers participants key practical training and mentorship on essential modules such as:

  • Sales Strategies for Business Growth
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting for Small Businesses
  • Cash Flow Management: Keeping Your Business Afloat
  • Leveraging Digital Marketing to Expand Your Reach
  • Staffing and Team Management for MSMEs
  • Understanding Business Compliance and Legal Requirements
  • Adopting Innovation and Technology for Business Success
Who can apply?
  • Women and Youth-led MSMEs
  • Unemployed and underemployed youth (ages 20-35)
  • Business owners who are passionate about scaling and growing their enterprises.
  • Entrepreneurs with access to the internet and the availability to attend the virtual sessions.
