The Climate Story Lab Lagos Impact Lab is a transformative virtual workshop designed for filmmakers, photographers, and artists based in Nigeria and West Africa. This immersive program aims to empower participants with the skills and insights needed to harness the power of storytelling for creating impactful change within the realm of climate change and social justice.

During the Impact Lab, participants get to learn the best practices needed to create and launch Impactful Climate Projects and Impact campaigns. This unique opportunity offers a platform to learn, network, collaborate, and spark further conversations about driving change in the face of climate and socio-economic challenges.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Be a national of any West African country.
  • Submit a project that is in production, post-production, or distribution and outreach stages.
  • Must be a rightful author or co-author of the submitted project.
  • Be emerging or established creative practitioners using or interested in using storytelling to talk about climate change.
  • Commit to attending all components of the Climate Story Lab Lagos.

Benefits

  • Learn about using your creativity and the power of storytelling for impact.
  • Learn about the climate crisis in the local context and how to use your voice to address it.
  • Network with a cross-section of industry professionals in the climate sector.
  • Join a community of creative storytellers.

Supporting visual material not longer than 3 minutes should be submitted. All shortlisted candidates will be notified by September 22, 2023.
