Share

If you’re a young professional or graduate looking to build leadership skills, global networks, and career visibility, GELA’s 2026 “Prestigious Global Mentorship Programme (PGMP)” could be a fit. The programme aims to mentor, train and connect young people (especially from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds) with global mentors — helping participants grow personally and professionally while gaining exposure to global perspectives and opportunities.

What the Programme Offers (Benefits)

  • Mentorship from international experts and leaders — participants are matched with global mentors across various sectors.
  • Soft-skills and leadership development — training modules cover communication, self-development, global citizenship, work ethics, and other employability skills.
  • Global exposure (virtual) — programme is delivered online, enabling cross-continental participation without relocation.
  • Internationally recognised certification — upon completion, participants may receive a certificate of participation/ completion via GELA.
  • Networking & opportunity access — chance to join a global community of young leaders, possibly opening doors to internships, collaborations, or job placements after the programme.

Who Can Apply — Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for PGMP 2026:

  • Applicants should be aged 18–35 years.
  • Must have reliable internet access, since the programme is virtual.
  • Must be open-minded, willing to learn, embrace diversity, and committed to personal growth and leadership development.
  • Willingness to complete the required pre-assessment and onboarding procedures if selected.

The programme is especially encouraged for youths from marginalized, under-represented, or disadvantaged backgrounds, offering an inclusive platform for global opportunities.

Programme Details & Timeline

  • Delivery Mode: Fully virtual / online — no need to travel.
  • Cohort 14 (2026) currently open for applications.
  • Application Deadline: 25 January 2026

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official GELA website’s PGMP page.
  2. Complete the online application / registration form. Provide thoughtful responses — selection often depends on demonstrated passion, clarity of goals, and potential for leadership.
  3. Submit before the deadline (25 January 2026). Applications are reviewed globally, and selected applicants receive a free access code if approved.
