Are you building a tech-driven business that makes life better for people, communities, and the planet? The GrowthAfrica Challenger Digital and Green Innovation Acceleration Programme 2025 is now open for applications, a powerful platform designed to help early-stage entrepreneurs scale impactful solutions that advance sustainability and climate resilience.

This initiative targets ventures that use digital technology to address pressing environmental and social challenges, helping them access funding, mentorship, and partnerships to accelerate growth across Africa.

Why It Matters
Africa’s green and digital transition requires bold innovators tackling climate change, resource efficiency, and social inclusion. The Challenger Programme bridges the gap between innovation and opportunity, empowering entrepreneurs to refine their models, attract investors, and scale their impact across borders.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be registered and operational in Kenya, Ethiopia, or Uganda.
  • Develop digital solutions promoting sustainability, climate adaptation, or circular innovation.
  • Be at MVP or early-revenue stage.
  • Have at least two active co-founders.
  • Demonstrate growth potential and clear market traction.
  • Be inclusive, with preference for youth- and women-led enterprises.

Areas of Innovation
Startups should focus on technology solutions in:

  • Climate-smart agriculture and food systems
  • Renewable energy and clean technologies
  • Circular economy and waste management
  • Water conservation and management
  • Green mobility and logistics
  • Digital financial inclusion and green finance
  • Environmental data and citizen engagement

Benefits
Selected startups will gain access to:
