The Jasiri Talent Investor program is dedicated to discovering and investing in promising entrepreneurs with the potential to establish high-impact businesses.

It’s a fully funded 13 month program that takes a comprehensive, long-term approach to nurture entrepreneurs. The program offers fellows the time and resources needed to identify Market-Creating Innovations and achieve product-market fit.

Jasiri employs a competency-based approach to identify and nurture entrepreneurs, emphasizing the need for patient and comprehensive support to address their challenges and developmental needs. The program’s main objective is to remove systemic barriers that impede entrepreneurs’ progress and allow them to focus on the venture creation process. It’s structured to eliminate hindrances at the individual, team, business, and financial levels, creating a supportive environment for entrepreneurial success.

Program Overview

The Talent Investor is a well-funded program tailored to specific regions. It uses a competency-based approach to nurture entrepreneurs. The program consists of essential activities and a framework that connects specific goals with the support needed to overcome obstacles that can hinder the creation of new businesses. The program also facilitates the collaboration of selected Fellows with like-minded co-founders, ensuring these teams have the skills to find and create Market-Creating Innovations.
The Talent Investor consists of six key stages:

  • Jasiri JumpStart
  • Team Formation
  • Customer Discovery
  • Problem Validation
  • Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
  • Venture Creation

Application process

Jasiri follows a competency-based approach to selecting and developing aspiring entrepreneurs for the Talent Investor.

Candidates are selected through a multi-stage selection process, which includes an entrepreneurial intentions survey, an innovation scenario assessment, psychometrics and an online selection conference.

The process seeks to recruit and select high-potential aspiring entrepreneurs for the Jasiri Talent Investor and selected candidates will be supported to identify equally ambitious co-founders and to develop Market-Creating Innovations.
Applicants are challenged to apply for this 13-month, fully funded, full-time program NOW!

Ideal candidate profile

You are:

  • An Ethiopian, Kenyan, or Rwandan residing in your country or diaspora.
  • Ready to pursue entrepreneurship full-time as a career, and spend three months of Residential Intensive in Rwanda.
  • Well-informed and skilled in your professional field, adept at identifying gaps and opportunities within your sector of interest.
  • Committed to launching a new, innovative venture with potential for rapid growth.
  • Historically an achiever, problem solver, and value creator wherever you have focused your attention.
  • Collaborative, eager to meet equally ambitious peers within your cohort, and co-found ventures from scratch.
  • Women aspiring entrepreneurs are highly encouraged to apply

Program offering

Team Formation, Customer Discovery & Validation at the Residential in Kigali

  • Flight and/or transportation from their current place of residence to the Residential Site in Kigali.
  • A monthly stipend equivalent to RWF 317,145, KES39,463, or ETB 14,130.

Venture Creation

  • Flight and transportation from Kigali to Nairobi or Ethiopia.
  • A monthly stipend equivalent to RWF 1,268,580, KES 157,853, or ETB 56,521.
