Call for Applications: LEAP Africa Youth Leadership Development Program 2023

Africa Youth Leadership Development Program. LEAP Africa invites undergraduates under the age of 30 to apply for a place in its youth leadership program. Through this initiative, they will gain the knowledge and capacity they need to be effective change leaders in their communities.

The LEAP Youth Leadership Development Program consists of 22 modules which will cover the three pillars of the program: Leadership, Active Citizenship, and Sustainable Development. Participants will learn skills that will make them advocates for better communities and a better Nigeria, and enable them to influence policy-making in the country for improved outcomes for its citizens.

Benefits

Participants will benefit from the program in the following ways:

Gain access to an online community of change agents

Get resources that will enable them to improve their change leadership skills

Join teams which will pitch proposals for community projects and potentially receive funding for those projects

Sharpen their persuasive communication skills through leadership debates

Attend a Youth Leadership Conference in which participants will be rewarded for their work.

Eligibility Criteria

This program is open to persons who meet these criteria:

Should be between 18 and 30 years old

Must be a student of a tertiary or vocational institution in Nigeria

Must be passionate about effecting change in communities through activism and community development projects

Should be willing to attend online training and debates

Application Deadline – February 10, 2023
