The Leventis Foundation Training Program is a fully funded comprehensive one-year training program designed for young men and women passionate about building rewarding careers in farming and agribusiness.

Participants receive full scholarships that cover tuition, boarding, and feeding.

The objective of the Leventis Foundation Agricultural Training Programme, which is FREE OF ALL COSTS to the beneficiary, is to create in Nigeria, generations of committed young practical farmers who will act as a catalyst for an agricultural revolution in their communities while advancing the food system.

Admission is open to both male and female candidates. Tuition and boarding (including feeding) are provided free of charge for successful candidates throughout the duration of the course.

Since its inception in 1987, the Foundation has been at the forefront of agricultural training, with six agricultural training schools strategically established across different agro-ecological zones in Nigeria.

These schools, located in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Osun, Kano, and Gombe states, are co-funded by the Leventis Foundation and the respective State governments.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants for the Leventis Foundation Agricultural Schools Training Programme should fulfill the following conditions:

  • Be physically fit.
  • Ability to read and write in English (evidence of e minimum of secondary leaving school certificate may be required).
  • Aged between 18 and 40 years old.
  • Pass both written and oral test prior to final selection.
  • Should demonstrate a perceivable interest in
    agriculture
  • Proof of a farming background is an advantage.

Benefits 

  • The Leventis Foundation Agricultural Training Program will run for a year with extensive participation in several areas of agriculture.
  • The full costs of tuition, accommodation, and feeding will be covered by the scholarship.
