Call For Applications: MTN Uganda AWE Programme 2026 for Women-Led Businesses
Share

MTN Uganda’s AWE Program offers a strong platform for women entrepreneurs to gain access to business support, mentorship, and high-value opportunities. If you run a women-owned business (or are thinking of starting one), the 2026 call for applications can help you scale, connect to markets, and become part of a more inclusive supply-chain ecosystem.

What the Programme Offers (Benefits)

  • Access to procurement and supply-chain opportunities: Selected businesses get the chance to become suppliers for MTN Uganda and its partners — offering real contracts and revenue possibilities.
  • Mentorship, training, and business development support: The programme provides capacity building, advisory services, and support for organisational growth.
  • Networking & partnerships: Through MTN’s ecosystem and partners (banks, infrastructure firms, service providers), entrepreneurs can connect with stakeholders across technology, infrastructure, digital services, and more.
  • Access to financing support (via partners / collaborating banks) for those who qualify — helping businesses manage growth and scale operations.
  • Boost to visibility and credibility: Being listed as a supplier under MTN’s AWE programme can enhance your business profile and open doors to other contracts or clients.

Who Can Apply — Eligibility

  • Business must be women-owned or majority women-owned (at least 50% ownership by women).
  • Eligible enterprise types include LLCs, sole proprietorships, joint ventures or business associations.
  • Entrepreneurs must be 18 years or older.
  • The business should be operational (registered and compliant), and ready to engage with supply-chain requirements and procurement processes under MTN’s ecosystem.
  • The programme is open to a broad range of sectors — including IT, network services, digital services, facility management, infrastructure, commercial services, and other relevant sectors.

How to Apply & What to Know

  • Application Period (2026 Call): Applications are now open. According to public notice, the deadline is 11 December 2025.
  • Where to Apply: Visit the official AWE page on MTN Uganda’s website: https://www.mtn.co.ug/awe/
  • Process: Submit your business profile via the online application form. Agree to terms and conditions, ensure your business meets eligibility, and provide required documentation (ownership, registration, business details).
