Call for Applications: Ugwumba Enterprise Challenge for Entrepreneurs (N1,000,000 Grand Prize)

As part of the activities marking the birthday celebration of its President, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, the Ugwumba Center for Leadership Development in Africa (UCLDA) hereby announce the Call for Applications for the 5th edition of the #UgwumbaEnterpriseChallenge.

The annual startup challenge is a contribution to the job creation and economic development policies of the Federal Government of Nigeria and those of other African nations.

Every year, UCLDA gathers young people, between 18 and 40 years from across the country, equip them with business development skills and award the best ideas with various grant prizes.

Since inception in 2018, over 5,000 young entrepreneurs from across the 36 States plus the FCT have benefited from this life-changing opportunity and we are glad to showcase our star prize winners in the various editions, as follows:

1st Edition (Owerri):

a) Innocent Unachukwu (1st prize of N500,000)

b) Ezinne Nwakuba (2nd prize of N300,000)

c) Osuji Postmus (3rd prize of N200,000)

 

2nd Edition (Abuja):

a) Mbaka ugochukwu (1st prize of N1m)

b) Gift Muoneke (2nd prize of N700,000)

c) Godsgift Ayaowei (3rd prize of N500,000)

 

3rd Edition (Abuja):

a) Bilkisu Garba (1st prize of N1m)

b) Nnamani Valentine (2nd prize of N700,000)

c) Ruth Ede (3rd prize of N500,000)

d) Fwangkat Daburak (4th prize of N300,000)

e) Adeleye Olufemi (5th prize of N200,000)

 

4th Edition (Abuja):

a) Godwin Gbemi Alomaja (star prize of N1m)

b) Kedei Ibiang (star prize of N1m)

c) Fortune Obieze (star prize of N1m)

This call opens the search for the next winners of its Star Prizes:

1st Prize: 1 Million Naira

2nd Prize: 700,000 Naira

3rd Prize: 500,000 Naira

4th Prize: 300,000 Naira

5th Prize: 200,000 Naira

Consolation Prizes: 50,000 Naira for the 6th to 10th place winners.
