This programme, run by Oribi and powered by AfriFOODlinks, is based in Cape Town. Its aim is to enable and support the transformation of early-stage entrepreneurs into thriving social entrepreneurs within the agri-food sector. The programme also focuses on adopting a circular business approach. This approach aims to drive inclusive growth and food system transformation in South Africa.

- Through the AfriFOODlinks Incubation Programme, selected entrepreneurs will gain access to a support system and network designed to help them thrive. This includes mentorship from industry experts, coaching sessions to address specific challenges, networking opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals and organizations, and grant funding to scale their social enterprises.
Selection process:
- 4 March 2024 – Application Launch
- 18 April 2024 – Application closes
- May 2024 – 1st shortlisting – 100 candidates will be shortlisted to enter the ‘FOODATHON’ selection process.
- From this group, 15 candidates will be selected to enter the 9 month incubation programme in the second half of 2024
