Call for Applications: RUFORUM Young African Entrepreneurs Competition 2022

Applications are open for the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) Young African Entrepreneurs Competition 2022.

The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM), a network of 157 Universities in 40 African countries is pleased to announce the 2022 RUFORUM Young African Entrepreneurs Competition (RUYAEC).

The primary purpose of the Competition is to promote business innovation through entrepreneurship and provide seed funding to young entrepreneurs with creative and innovative business ideas to be valorized and enhance and foster a spirit of entrepreneurship among African youth.

The 2022 RUFORUM Young African Entrepreneurs Competition (RUYAEC) whose overall purpose is to catalyze entrepreneurship through the promotion of business innovation and provision of seed funding to young entrepreneurs with creative and innovative business ideas among African youth.

RUYAEC invites young (<35 years) African entrepreneurs and incubates to compete for 20 awards to showcase their innovations, enterprises, and business concepts and propositions.

Benefits

✓ There are a number of opportunities to help African start-ups grow, these include trainings, competitions, incubators and accelerator programs.

✓ Entrepreneurs who register for a RUFORUM SME hub account will be the first to know about active start up competitions, training opportunities and applications calls to the different programs in Africa.

✓ This will include start up competitions or entrepreneur trainings run by RUFORUM for example the annual RUFORUM young African entrepreneurs’ competition (RUYAEC) available at the start of every year.

✓ Users will also be able to find information on programs run by 3rd party development organisations and private entities.
