Are you a student or recent graduate looking to gain a competitive edge? Applications are now open for the Spurt! Training and Empowerment Programme (S.T.E.P.), Cohort 9!

This intensive 12-week program provides you with invaluable professional skills training to accelerate your career.

The Spurt! Training and Empowerment Programme S.T.E.P. will help you to:​ Identify your core strengths as a young professional.​Leverage the right tools for thriving in the 21st-century workplace.​ ​Develop key professional skills and aptitudes.​ ​Find and successfully apply for career growth opportunities

The Spurt! Empowerment and Training Programme (S.T.E.P.) is a FREE 12-week Intensive Professional Skills Prep program delivered virtually by experts and mentors from the Spurt! network.

S.T.E.P. is designed to bridge the gap between recent graduates and/or early-career professionals’ capabilities and current corporate expectations.

S.T.E.P. zooms in on each trainee’s strengths whilst preparing them to be Professional, analytical, and Valuable to any organization or endeavor in which they find themselves.

Here are some of our general requirements for anyone applying to the program:

  1. Good time management skills
  2. Proactive communication habits
  3. Pan-African Optimism: believe in the inherent value and dignity of all people. If you believe that Africans or people of African descent are somehow inferior to other races, you are not a good fit for this program.
  4. Flexibility and open-mindedness
  5. Self-motivation and initiative
