The accelerator is designed to support innovative startups specializing in energy and sustainability. The accelerator aims to drive global impact by supporting startups that are developing solutions with the potential to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges in energy and sustainability.

By fostering innovation and promoting scalable solutions, the program contributes to global efforts in climate change mitigation, resource conservation, and sustainable development. By providing access to a global network of mentors, investors, and industry experts, the program aims to accelerate the growth of innovative solutions that can make a significant impact on the environment and society. Located in the heart of Saudi Arabia, the Dhahran Techno Valley Science Park provides a vibrant and dynamic ecosystem for innovation. With over 1600 professionals working across various sectors, the park is a hub for cutting-edge research, development, and commercialization of new technologies. Startups will benefit from close proximity to leading institutions and corporations, fostering an environment conducive to collaboration and growth.

Eligibility

  • Open to innovative startups specializing in energy and sustainability.
  • They should be developing solutions with the potential to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges in energy and sustainability.

Benefits

  • Digital Acceleration: An intense 3-month in-person accelerator designed to enable growth at speed.
  • Capital: USD 100k including USD 50k cash investment per startup to cover expenses during the program and USD 50k in-kind services.
  • Mentorship: Carefully selected mentors with industry-specific knowledge, who provide hands-on support and valuable introductions.
  • Events: 1:1 matchmaking with mentors, investors and partners. Ongoing collaborations for exposure, media & PR activities.

Application

  • Application Close – August 22, 2024: They will start reviewing and shortlisting potential candidates.
  • Selection days – August 28 – 29, 2024: The startups will pitch in front of an audience of Investors, Mentors, Corporate Leaders, Partners and the SBC team
  • Startups Announcement – September 1, 2024: On the last day of Selection Days we announce the 10 startups selected, which will take part in the accelerator.
  • Accelerator Kick-off – September 15, 2024
  • Impact Day – December 5, 2024: At the end of the accelerator, they celebrate with Impact Day! The founders will showcase their progress and solutions in their signature event.
