Call for Applications: WeCare Leadership & Impact Mentorship Program (WLIMP) 2026

Applications are now open for the WeCare Leadership & Impact Mentorship Program, an intensive 8–10 week virtual leadership and professional development initiative designed to equip emerging Nigerian youth with the skills, exposure, and networks needed to thrive in leadership, public service, innovation, entrepreneurship, and community development.

WLIMP is created for young people who are eager to learn directly from exceptional Nigerian and international leaders, build strong professional foundations, and position themselves for future opportunities in impact-driven careers.

About the Program

The WeCare Leadership & Impact Mentorship Program is a structured virtual experience that combines weekly leadership masterclasses, mentorship circles, and career-focused workshops. Participants will gain practical insights, sharpen their leadership capacity, and connect with mentors and peers who are actively shaping change across different sectors.

 

Who Can Apply

  • The program is open to Nigerian youth who meet the following criteria:
  • Applicants must be 300–400 level undergraduates or recent graduates within 0–3 years post-NYSC
  • Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old
  • A strong interest in leadership, governance, entrepreneurship, innovation, community development, or social impact is required
  • Applicants must be willing to commit to at least 80% attendance throughout the program
  • The program is open to all Nigerian youth, with gender balance, disability inclusion, and regional diversity intentionally supported

What Participants Will Gain

Selected participants will benefit from:

  • Weekly leadership and personal development masterclasses
  • Small-group mentorship circles facilitated by experienced professionals
  • Training in communication, innovation, digital skills, and employability
  • Access to curated opportunities including internships, fellowships, and jobs
  • Engagement with local and international speakers
  • A certificate of completion upon successful participation
  • Eligibility to attend an end-of-cohort physical Leadership Conference
  • Automatic inclusion in the WLIMP Alumni Network for long-term support and opportunities

Program Structure
The program will run for 8–10 weeks and will be delivered 100% virtually. The cohort will consist of 50 selected participants. At the end of the program, participants will be invited to a one-day physical Leadership Conference, with the location to be announced.
