The YSEC program is a transformative entrepreneurship initiative designed to unleash the potential of young individuals, equipping them with the expertise, skills, and mindset necessary to launch and scale successful, sustainable businesses. Our aim is to cultivate a new wave of innovative, socially responsible entrepreneurs who will drive economic growth, create jobs, and contribute to the achievement of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS, 2023), small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) contribute 48% of Nigeria’s GDP and employ over 84% of the workforce. Lagos, as the commercial hub, accounts for a substantial share of this. In Lagos alone, SMEs represent about 80% of the state’s businesses and provide 75% of employment, making them a critical driver of both economic activity and job creation. This entrepreneurial base not only supports domestic economic growth but also positions Lagos as a key player in West Africa’s economic landscape.
