Share

The BoostImpact Program invites organisations and event organisers to submit proposals for hackathons and bootcamps that empower young innovators and entrepreneurs. This call is part of the Danish-Arab Partnership Program (DAPP) and focuses on building technical skills, entrepreneurship capacity, and economic inclusion for youth.

Why This Opportunity Matters

Youth unemployment and underemployment continue to challenge economic progress in many regions. Quality experiential learning like hackathons and bootcamps help young people develop problem solving, innovation, and entrepreneurial skills that are in demand across industries. The BoostImpact Program’s call supports initiatives that expand access to real-world learning and strengthen local ecosystems of startups and social innovators.

This call aims to support events that create impact, opportunity, and pathways into the job market or venture creation for participants.

What Proposals Are Being Sought (Focus Areas)

The form seeks proposals for either:

🏁 Hackathons

Competitive innovation events where participants collaborate to develop solutions to defined challenges in a short timeframe.

🚀 Bootcamps

Intensive learning programs that blend training, mentorship, and practical exercises to help participants develop tech and entrepreneurial skills.

Submitters will be asked to describe their event’s:

  • Type (Hackathon or Bootcamp) and Name
  • Date and Duration
  • Location and Participant Number
  • Objectives and Description
  • Target Beneficiaries
  • Expected Support from Impact Partner
  • Organising Team Expertise
  • Proposed Timeline
    — based on the fields visible in the form preview.

Who Should Apply (Eligible Organisations)

This call is suited to organisers such as:

✔ NGOs and nonprofits focused on youth empowerment
✔ University innovation hubs and student clubs
✔ Tech communities and startup accelerators
✔ Social enterprises and ecosystem builders
✔ Corporate social impact teams planning capacity-building events

Your proposal should aim to help young people gain skills, insights, and opportunities through practical, action-oriented events.

Benefits of Participating (Impact Potential)

🎯 Funding & Support: Successful proposals may receive support from the BoostImpact program to host well-structured learning events.
🎓 Capacity Building: Events help participants gain real practical skills in coding, innovation, business design, and teamwork.
🤝 Ecosystem Exposure: Collaboration with partners such as the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and Microcred connects organisers to wider networks.
🌍 Youth Impact: Well-executed hackathons and bootcamps can spur startup ideas, foster problem solving, and elevate local innovation capacity.
