Cascador, a business growth program, has announced its 2024 Entrepreneurial and Leadership Initiative aimed at empowering 10 Nigerian entrepreneurs with a total of $50,000. The program will take place from November 4 to 8, 2024, at the Lagos Business School.

Program Highlights

– Growth and Leadership: The initiative offers African entrepreneurs a unique opportunity to grow their businesses and enhance their leadership skills through collaboration with successful American and Nigerian entrepreneurs.

Key Features:

– Intensive Workshop: The program includes a five-day intensive workshop designed to address the challenges of starting and running a business in Nigeria.

– Mentorship: Following the workshop, participants will receive six months of mentorship to help them apply the skills and knowledge gained.

– Personal Development Stipend: Each participant will receive a $5,000 personal development stipend as part of the program.

Participant Selection:

– Target Audience: The program targets mid-stage entrepreneurs who have been in operation for at least two years and generate annual sales revenue exceeding N50,000,000.

– Selective Process: It is highly selective, accepting only 10 fellows each year.

– Application Deadline: Applications for the 2024 cohort close on June 30, 2024.

Geographical Focus:

– Primary Focus on Nigeria: Although the program has drawn participants from across Nigeria and other African nations such as Lesotho, Kenya, and Ghana, its primary focus remains on Nigeria to build a strong, supportive local community.

Statements from Organizers

Dave Delucia, Co-founder of Cascador:

– Local Impact: “There is so much good work to be done here in Lagos. Our participants benefit from being part of a local network that supports and nurtures their growth.”

– Community Building: “Our primary focus remains on Nigeria to build a strong, supportive community within the country.”

Cascador’s 2024 Entrepreneurial and Leadership Initiative aims to foster the growth of Nigerian entrepreneurs by providing them with substantial financial support, intensive training, and ongoing mentorship. This initiative not only enhances business skills but also strengthens leadership capabilities, contributing to the broader economic development of Nigeria.
