CIATECH Africa, a non-governmental organisation, has entered a strategic partnership with Rayyan Microfinance Bank to empower 50 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Borno State, aiming to close the gap between innovation and access to finance.
The collaboration will provide local entrepreneurs with digital tools, financial literacy, and business development support. Speaking at the agreement signing in Maiduguri, CIATECH Africa Founder Umar Grema described the partnership as a milestone in advancing digital and economic inclusion for small business owners in the state.
A representative of Rayyan Microfinance Bank said the partnership will create pathways for entrepreneurs to grow by ensuring they have access to the tools, finance, and knowledge needed to succeed in today’s economy.
The pilot phase will support 50 MSMEs across sectors such as agribusiness, retail, and digital services. CIATECH Africa will lead the digital training and entrepreneurship development, while Rayyan Microfinance Bank will provide financing and financial advisory support.
The initiative aligns with Borno State’s broader agenda to foster innovation, strengthen the local economy, and empower youth to become job creators rather than job seekers. It also builds on CIATECH Africa’s work to bridge the digital divide and promote sustainable livelihoods through technology and innovation.
Through the programme, selected MSMEs will receive training, mentorship, and tailored access to financial services to help them scale sustainably.
