CreditCorp has confirmed that the 10,000 Women in Mobility initiative will be officially launched on December 12, 2025, at Eagle Square in Abuja. The corporation said the programme is designed to support women whose livelihoods depend on mobility-based work and to improve their access to sustainable finance that can help them expand and stabilise their small businesses.
The organisation explained that the event is being delivered in collaboration with key mobility and financial service partners who are working to strengthen Nigeria’s transport economy. CreditCorp noted that the initiative represents a major step toward building a more inclusive mobility sector by equipping women with the financial tools, assets and support systems needed to improve their earnings and long-term economic prospects.
According to the corporation, the programme will focus on women who operate within the transport and mobility value chain, including those who rely on motorcycles, tricycles, vehicles, logistics services and other movement-based activities to sustain their families and grow their enterprises. By helping these women access credit and mobility assets in a structured and affordable way, the initiative is expected to ease the financial pressure many face while also improving productivity, business stability and sector-wide competitiveness.
CreditCorp added that the launch aligns with national efforts to expand consumer credit, strengthen micro and small enterprises and support women-led businesses that form a significant part of Nigeria’s informal economy. The corporation said the programme is expected to catalyze broader economic participation by women, helping them scale their operations, contribute more actively to community development and play a stronger role in Nigeria’s transport-driven value chains.
