Ayoade Adeyemi, volunteer mentor at FATE Foundation in Nigeria, has been crowned Global Mentor of the Year at Youth Business International (YBI) 2022 Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Hague, Netherlands, after obtaining the highest votes for the award category across the world.

Ayoade has been dedicating his time and resources to mentoring young entrepreneurs for the last two decades due to his desire to see them realise their entrepreneurial goals, while manoeuvring any challenges they may encounter in their business journeys, with the right guidance.

Beyond committing his time and personal funds, Ayoade has mobilised friends and members of his network to invest in the businesses of young entrepreneurs he works with. He also supports his mentees beyond their official mentoring programmes.

Adeyemi had earlier emerged the  Africa Mentor of the Year before bagging the global mentor of the year award.

Youth Business International (YBI) is a global network of expert organisations in over 40 countries supporting underserved young people to turn their ideas into successful businesses, creating jobs and strengthening communities.

The purpose of the awards has always been to recognise the incredible work of the global community of volunteer business mentors who give their time to support a young person to achieve their goals in creating and sustaining their business. It is also an opportunity to shine a light on the global Network’s commitment to delivering high quality mentoring services, which critically supports the personal development of young entrepreneurs.

Dr. Ayoade Adeyemi is an international trainer and speaker, a consummate professional, strategist, and consultant of over two decades. He has facilitated many training sessions locally and internationally, he consults for many Local and Multinational Organizations in the areas of Enterprise Development, Business Strategy, Marketing, and Human Resources Management.

He is a guest lecturer for the MBA Class of IQRA University, Pakistan, a resource Person for the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), Federal Ministry of Finance (N-Power Project) and National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, Nigeria.

Adeyemi is equally a faculty member, Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ontario, Canada (CIMMO), Center for Management Development (CMD), Daystar Leadership Academy (DLA), FATE Foundation, Philip Consulting, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN), Institute of Packaging, Nigeria, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), Emerging Young Entrepreneurs (E.Y.E) and The Speakers Academy.

Dr. Adeyemi was awarded a Professional Doctorate Degree in Commerce and Enterprise Development, he bagged a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, and holds Postgraduate Degree in Marketing and a High National Diploma in Marketing.

He has authored and co-authored a few books including: 10Ms of Business Success, Take That Leap, Mind Your Business, Personal Productivity and Effectiveness, and Compendium of Marketing Terminologies.
