EGO Foundation Launches Project SheEnabled to Empowers Women Entrepreneurs
Share

The EGO Foundation’s latest initiative, Project SheEnabled, is making strides in empowering women entrepreneurs, providing them with essential tools for success.

The EGO Foundation introduced Project SheEnabled at the bustling Mushin market, part of a series of initiatives supporting women entrepreneurs in the region.

Team members and volunteers distributed multilingual pamphlets titled “Bookkeeping Made Easy” to businesswomen. These resources aim to assist in efficient sales and stock management, a crucial step for business growth.

Over 250 women participated in an informative session highlighting the significance of maintaining written or computerized records of sales and stock.

Toluwase Olaniyan, Executive Director of EGO Foundation, emphasized the critical role of effective business management in sustaining and growing enterprises.

Representative Oladapo Folorunsho from Access Bank engaged the women in discussions on how proper record-keeping could open doors to grants and loans, providing crucial financial support.

A notable highlight was the distribution of five Point of Sale (POS) machines, streamlining transactions and enhancing digital literacy and financial inclusion among women entrepreneurs. Lawal Ramota Bolanle and Medinat Amoo were among the recipients.

Isinguzo Uzoma, a representative from the renowned tomato paste brand Topisco, and a familiar voice from Wazobia FM, shared valuable insights on women’s empowerment and excelling in a competitive market.

The event concluded with the acknowledgment of excellence, awarding Oreoluwa Ashabi Taiwo for her outstanding participation and versatility. Palliatives were also distributed to market women, alleviating economic impact within the local community.
