Egypt: MSMEDA, ILO team up to organise Entrepreneurship Program for Women
Share

The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) of Egypt invites women and girls who crave to establish small or micro projects, as well as owners of existing businesses, to enroll in the “Women Go Forward” training programme.

The programme is executed in cooperation with the International Labour Organization, and wants to enhance entrepreneurial skills in business management, ensure business sustainability, maximize profitability, and encourage self-employment among women.

The programme focuses on women and men, who own family projects, to upscale their business management skills, introduce them to market needs, improve their ability to solve problems, and introduce them to the services available at MSMEDA.

The programme attendees must be between 18 and 50 years old and literate and the duration is 4 days.

Those interested can apply for the programme at any of MSMEDA’s branches nationwide. Applicants must provide a photocopy of their ID to complete registration.

MSMEDA has provided 100 training courses under the Gender and Entrepreneurship Together (GET Ahead) entrepreneurship training programme, to 2,184 trainees from 2016 to 2022.

The programme focuses on meeting the practical needs of women owning projects or want to establish new ones, and enhancing their business management skills. It also helps women develop entrepreneurial qualities and obtain support through groups, networks, and institutions.
