Energy Capital & Power (ECP) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Strategic Partnership Agreement with independent research and business intelligence company, Rystad Energy.

Rystad Energy will become a Knowledge Partner to ECP, enabling the associations to share and contribute knowledge, experience, resources, connections, and participate in two-way communications as part of the partnership.

Signed by ECP Senior Director, James Chester, and Rystad Energy Senior Partner, Per Magnus Nysveen, on 18 January 2023, the Strategic Partnership Agreement will run for one year and will remain subject to renewal if agreed upon by both partners.

Demonstrating its commitment to developing and nurturing sustainable energy investments in Africa, ECP aims to utilize this partnership to support data content and export guidance while Rystad Energy seeks to increase its visibility across the continent and contribute to increased data transparency and the provision of insights that empower better decision making across the African energy space.

“ECP is proud to once again partner with Rystad Energy. This partnership will continue to serve as a critical asset for ECP as the company strives to improve investment and development across Africa. We look forward to many more years of strategic cooperation,” Chester states.

The Strategic Partnership Agreement will facilitate the participation and collaboration of both entities at ECP’s in-person events in 2023 and Rystad Energy’s regional webinar online events.

Meanwhile, Rystad Energy will provide ECP with access to upstream and energy service analytics as well as accredited usage of the company’s data and analytics for ECP publications, online content, and reports.

“With this partnership renewal, Rystad Energy will assist Energy Capital & Power on data content and expert guidance to fulfil its mission of growing sustainable energy investments in Africa,” stated Nysveen, adding, “Improving knowledge sharing and information regarding Africa’s energy sector will be key to helping the continent’s market address industry challenges through improved cooperation with regional and international players.”

Rystad Energy has emerged as the partner of choice for energy companies across the African energy landscape, with the organization offering high-level information services, thus enabling energy professionals and companies from across the African energy landscape to make informed decisions.

Meanwhile, through its strong lineup of industry-focused events that unite African energy leaders, companies, and stakeholders with global investors, ECP facilitates global and intra-African investment on the back of data-driven dialogue and discussions.

By integrating Rystad Energy’s knowledge and expertise with ECP’s reach and connections across the African energy landscape, the partnership will be instrumental for both companies as well as the wider African energy market.
