Targeted at helping SMEs, Startups and entrepreneurs at large across different sectors understand the basics of raising funding, Exponential Hub with support from AfriLabs funded by Agence Française de Développement (AFD) through the Digital Africa Seed Fund has set up a virtual meetup program tagged, “Ace Your Pitch”.
This program will help them acquire pitching skills, build confidence to face investors and develop the ability to put together key elements for their business in an engaging way.
Speaking during its onboarding webinar, the Managing Consultant and founder, of Exponential Hub, which is a division of Simply Exponential Consult Limited, Fayo Williams, explained how she intends to help SMEs and Startup’s within her community understand the basics of raising funding through the virtual meetup program “Ace Your Pitch”.
EXPONENTIAL HUB is the Innovation Technology and Entrepreneur Support arm of Simply Exponential Consult Limited which is a Training and Consulting Company founded in the year 2010 with the objective of helping people and organizations attain set goals in the areas of human capital development and Business Management. The grant agreement letter sent to SECL on the 19th day of September 2023 stated that one of the purposes is to help early-stage Startups understand the basics of raising finance.
“Ace Your Pitch” is a virtual meetup program (one-day pitch training plus practical pitching to Financial Institutions/Venture Capitalists) where SMEs and startups are equipped with pitching skills that will enable them to – build confidence to face investors and attract funding for their businesses.
While the business environment requirements and regulatory context are drawn from Nigeria, the virtual meetup program covers creating and presenting a winning pitch that applies globally.
