FATE Foundation Launches 20 Year Impact Report

To celebrate 20 years of establishment and share its impact, FATE Foundation has launched her 20 years Impact Report on Monday, April 12th 2021.

The 20 years Impact Report chronicles FATE Foundation’s journey of supporting Nigerians and their businesses from inception in March 2000 till date. It highlights the foundation’s inception stories; programme offerings and how they have evolved over the years; reach and impact; entrepreneurs and initiatives supported; volunteers who have supported the foundation; partners who have collaborated, and various stakeholders who have enabled their work. Summarily, the report captures through pictures and impact numbers and stories, the past, present, and future of FATE Foundation. The impact report also highlights the foundation’s COVID-19 response especially through the FATE Philanthropy COVID Coalition support funds; a project by FATE Foundation’s new initiative; FATE Philanthropy.

Speaking about the launch of the impact report, the Executive Director, FATE Foundation, Adenike Adeyemi draws attention to how the impact learnings from the report is helping the foundation envision strategically to make more impact in the Nigeria’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. She shared insight on some legacy projects commissioned to make this a reality and to celebrate the 20 years milestone like the Nigerian Entrepreneurship’ Handbook Series, Ecosystem Mapping tool, The FATE Story Documentary, INSIGHTS by FATE Foundation and E-learning Platform to provide asynchronous and self-paced entrepreneurship training.

The Executive Director further expressed that the impact report captures the foundation’s dedication to tackling unemployment in Nigeria through impact-driven enterprise development initiatives over the course of two decades and presenting entrepreneurship as a compelling alternative to paid employment for graduates. She said “I am incredibly proud that through FATE Foundation we have disseminated values of integrity and resilience, and a culture of enterprise, innovation, and solutions. FATE businesses are solutions to economic problems and gap in the market. FATE entrepreneurs are distinguished by their resilience and their sense of community.”

Over the years, FATE Foundation, an enterprise learning organization, has supported targeted initiatives geared towards revitalizing the Nigerian entrepreneurial space and equipped entrepreneurs with knowledge, skills, and network to survive and thrive. 20 years in, the Foundation has built an institutional legacy of enterprise development that continues to have a significant socio-economic impact for Nigerian entrepreneurs and the entrepreneurship ecosystem at large.
