FCTA seeks Collaboration with NGOs for Economic Growth and Job Creation
Share

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) emphasizes the need for partnerships with NGOs focusing on specialized programs to drive economic growth, job opportunities, and poverty alleviation in the Federal Capital Territory

Danlami Hayyo, the Secretary representing the FCTA, advocates for collaborations with NGOs that have distinct and targeted initiatives to stimulate economic progress, create jobs, and reduce poverty levels in the FCT.

Hayyo lauds i-Dreams for their steadfast dedication to empowering women in Nigeria, especially through projects like the digital entrepreneurship masterclass, in partnership with the education secretariat.

He emphasizes that i-Dreams is complementing government efforts in education and inclusivity, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

The FCT Administration is committed to forging alliances with NGOs with unique programs to drive economic growth, job creation, and crucially, poverty reduction in the FCT.

Hayyo encourages participants to continue developing their technological skills to remain relevant in Nigeria’s economic advancement.

The training’s true value lies not just in attendance, but in actively applying the knowledge gained. Departing participants are urged to utilize their new skills and perspectives for the betterment of their communities and the nation at large.

Eghogho Ogbeide, Co-founder of i-Dreams, states that the organization’s aim was to empower women with digital entrepreneurship skills, providing them with a sense of belonging in society. During the empowerment program, they successfully trained 70 women.
