Fembol Group, a fast-growing logistics and supply chain company in Nigeria, has concluded the maiden edition of the Fembol Student Grant, awarding 5million in funding to student-led startups with scalable and impact-driven business ideas.
The initiative, designed to support early-stage entrepreneurs, received over 500 applications from students across tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Shortlisted applicants participated in a one-day entrepreneurship bootcamp focused on business fundamentals, idea refinement, and pitch readiness—equipping them with practical skills needed to build sustainable ventures.

Following the bootcamp, 10 finalists were selected and each received ₦200,000 in seed support to further develop their ideas ahead of the final pitch session.
At the grand finale, three student entrepreneurs emerged as winners based on innovation, feasibility, and growth potential:
- Winner:Pemnia Wellness — founded by Opeyemi Adebisi
- 1st Runner-Up:Versatile Energy — founded by Nura Idris
- 2nd Runner-Up:Save Extra Ecopads — founded by Joy Mamkwe

According to Femi Bewaji, Managing Director of Fembol Group, the initiative reflects the company’s belief that entrepreneurship remains a key driver of economic growth.
“Small businesses are the backbone of any economy, and innovation must be nurtured early. Through the Fembol Student Grant, we are supporting young founders with not just funding, but confidence, exposure, and a pathway to scale.”

The grant program forms part of Fembol’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda, which focuses on empowering youth, supporting MSMEs, and encouraging sustainable innovation. Participants also benefited from mentorship, networking opportunities, and real-world exposure to business pitching.
