The Federal Ministry of Youth Development has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with payment technology company Flutterwave to empower young Nigerians with business skills and opportunities.

At the signing ceremony, Minister for Youth Development Ayodele Olawande praised Flutterwave for supporting youth-focused initiatives, describing the partnership as crucial to advancing President Bola Tinubu’s vision for youth empowerment. The agreement aims to provide young entrepreneurs with training, mentorship, and business support.

Flutterwave’s CEO, Olugbenga Agboola, reiterated the company’s commitment to creating sustainable opportunities for Nigerian youth through training and business engagement. He emphasized that the initiative would drive long-term economic impact.

The ministry highlighted the National Youth Service Corps and Citizenship & Leadership Training Centre as key agencies in implementing the initiative. The collaboration will focus on expanding access to training, supporting youth-led businesses, strengthening leadership skills, and leveraging technology to create sustainable employment.

Olawande affirmed that the partnership would play a significant role in positioning young Nigerians as drivers of economic transformation.
