The Federal Ministry of Education has announced the official launch of the Diaspora BRIDGE Platform on Monday, July 28, 2025, at the State House, Abuja. The platform aims to connect Nigerian professionals and academics in the diaspora with the country’s tertiary institutions and research bodies.
The launch will be led by Vice President Kashim Shettima and Minister of Education Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, and will mark a major step in boosting research, innovation, and global academic collaboration.
Diaspora BRIDGE, Bridging Research, Innovation, Development, and Global Engagement—enables diaspora experts to register, share their expertise, and partner with Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. Local institutions can also indicate their needs, paving the way for structured and demand-driven partnerships.
The platform will integrate with the government’s TERAS system, enhancing transparency, academic matchmaking, and project tracking. It also features modern tools for virtual collaboration to ensure impactful engagement.
Stakeholders in education, research, and innovation are encouraged to explore the platform at www.diaspora-bridge.ng.
