Fidelity Bank Unveils SME Hub with Creative Studios to Boost Entrepreneurship
Share

Fidelity Bank is set to launch the Fidelity SME Hub, a dedicated facility designed to support small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs in the creative sector. This multipurpose hub will feature training halls, meeting rooms, networking spaces, podcast rooms, and fully equipped studios for music, photography, and content production.

Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity Bank Plc, highlighted the bank’s longstanding commitment to empowering small businesses beyond financial support. She emphasized that the Fidelity SME Hub aims to drive innovation, collaboration, and capacity-building to strengthen Nigeria’s SME ecosystem and spur economic growth.

Strategically located in the heart of Lagos, the hub will offer entrepreneurs networking opportunities, stakeholder engagement initiatives, and access to industry experts and mentors for practical business guidance. A standout feature of the facility is the *Creativerse*, a specialized space designed for entrepreneurs in the creative industry to thrive.

In addition to providing a collaborative workspace, Fidelity Bank will introduce a series of dedicated courses at the SME Hub. These courses will cover Financial Management & Investment Readiness, Digital Transformation & Technology Adoption, Marketing, Branding, and Business Growth Strategies. Furthermore, a comprehensive creative academy will be launched, offering courses in Music Production, the Business of Music, Website Design & Development, Mobile Videography, Disc Jockey, and Photography. Dr. Onyeali-Ikpe also pointed out that the Fidelity SME Hub will support Nigeria’s non-oil economic diversification efforts by empowering SMEs to boost their contributions to the non-oil GDP. Through the Creativerse, content creators are expected to unlock new revenue streams in entertainment, digital media, and the arts—sectors that already contribute 2.3% to Nigeria’s GDP.

Ranked among Nigeria’s top banks, Fidelity Bank serves over 8.5 million customers through its 255 business offices in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, as well as through digital banking platforms. The bank has received numerous accolades, including the Export Finance Bank of the Year at the 2023 BusinessDay BAFI Awards, Best Payment Solution Provider Nigeria 2023, and Best SME Bank Nigeria 2022 by the Global Banking and Finance Awards. It was also named the Best Bank for SMEs in Nigeria by the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2023 and the Best Domestic Private Bank in Nigeria by the Euromoney Global Private Banking Awards 2023.
