Fiducia Boosts SME’s Access to Supply Chain Finance
Share

Leading digital supply chain finance platform, Fiducia, has reinforced its commitment to expanding financial inclusion across Nigeria by introducing scalable digital finance solutions to high-impact sectors.

In a major step towards achieving this goal, Fiducia hosted the South-South edition of its Factoring Forum in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, marking the company’s first official engagement in the region.

The event, themed “Unlocking Growth: The Power of Factoring for Business Expansion,” brought together financial experts, corporate executives, and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to explore the potential of supply chain finance (SCF) in unlocking liquidity and accelerating business growth. Discussions particularly focused on the oil and gas value chain, a critical sector in the South-South economy.

Fiducia’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer said the gathering reaffirmed the company’s mission to close the financing gap faced by businesses across Africa. According to him, Fiducia was established to simplify and democratize access to working capital for SMEs. Through the digitisation of the factoring process, the platform aims to enhance efficiency, unlock capital, and build greater resilience across various value chains.

Fiducia’s platform enables vendors and suppliers to access cash more quickly by trading their receivables with financiers. This system not only ensures vendors are paid faster but also helps corporate buyers maintain enhanced liquidity, strengthen supplier relationships, and benefit from competitive financing rates.

Opening the forum, the Group Head of CBG South-South at Access Bank highlighted the platform’s significance to regional economic development. She noted that the initiative comes at a strategic time and offers real opportunities for SMEs partnered with large corporations to grow their businesses through easier and faster access to finance.

The Port Harcourt event forms part of Fiducia’s broader nationwide efforts to deepen financial inclusion. By targeting sectors with high growth potential and offering digital finance solutions that are both scalable and sustainable, Fiducia aims to support businesses and strengthen value chains across Nigeria.
