Leading Nigerian neobank PalmPay has announced the first set of winners in its Hustle Grant campaign, an initiative aimed at empowering small business owners and entrepreneurs with the resources to scale their ventures and create meaningful impact in their communities.
Launched on August 28 and running until September 29, the Hustle Grant is designed to go beyond financial support by positioning PalmPay as a partner in growth for everyday Nigerians striving to transform their hustles into sustainable enterprises. The company says the campaign reflects its mission to provide financial tools that not only make services smarter but also make ambitions possible.
As PalmPay marks its sixth anniversary, the Hustle Grant underscores the company’s broader commitment to driving economic transformation and supporting grassroots entrepreneurship. “PalmPay is more than a digital banking platform; it is a trusted financial partner committed to the growth and success of Nigerians,” the company stated.
In the first round of the campaign, four entrepreneurs were selected from thousands of entries, each receiving N500,000 to expand their businesses. Among them are a community builder in Kebbi State, two fashion designers based in Lagos and Jos, and a farmer, individuals who reflect the resilience, creativity, and determination driving Nigeria’s economy. With the support, they can now scale their operations and extend their impact beyond personal success to their communities.
Entries for the Hustle Grant continue to pour in via social media under the hashtag #PalmPayHustleGrant. From these submissions, top contenders will be shortlisted, with four more winners expected to be announced in the final round of the campaign.
For many SMEs, initiatives like the Hustle Grant represent more than a financial boost. They provide visibility, mentorship, and critical support needed to scale operations, create jobs, and strengthen local economies. By backing grassroots innovation, PalmPay is helping to unlock the potential of small businesses as key drivers of inclusive growth and national development.
