GET Accelerated Program 2024 Empowers 10 Nigerian Startups with N55 Million Equity-Free Funding
Share

The Grooming Endowment Trust (GET), a non-profit organization supporting Nigeria’s business ecosystem, has successfully concluded the third edition of its annual GET Accelerated program. This initiative provides early-stage startups with vital resources to scale without sacrificing equity.

Since its launch in 2020, GET has supported over 50 startups across industries such as education, healthcare, and mobility. The 2024 cohort featured ten startups: Filmanatomie, Lucred, Frootify, Ploutos Page, Deluxe Creation Studios, Autogirl, Growwr, EdGO, Skooqs, and Riwe.

Five exceptional startups—Autogirl, EdGO, Deluxe Creation Studios, Ploutos Page, and Growwr—each received additional equity-free funding of ₦10,000,000 at the ceremony. Overall, the programme offers equity-free funding of up to ₦55,000,000, alongside mentorship, masterclasses, and access to a dynamic business ecosystem.

“We are thrilled to have supported startups across diverse industries this year, from those revolutionizing gaming, filmmaking, and mobility to those shaping the future of education,” said Adaobi Okafor, Chairperson of GET.

She commended the startups’ progress and reiterated GET’s commitment to providing ongoing support. Okafor also expressed gratitude to program partner Kick-off Africa for their pivotal role in shaping the cohort.

Abraham Akpan, Program Manager at Kick-off Africa, highlighted the program’s impact over three years: “We’ve empowered early-stage startups by providing them access to capital, mentorship, and the guidance they need to scale and flourish.

Kick-off Africa, renowned for championing innovation and early-stage startups, has been instrumental in the program’s success, equipping entrepreneurs with the expertise to drive their ventures forward.

The GET Accelerated program remains a cornerstone initiative for GET, reinforcing its dedication to fostering a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem and driving positive change in Nigeria.

Applications for the 2025 cohort are set to open in the third quarter of the year.
