Grooming Centre Earns Top Honors as Best Financier for Women Entrepreneurs in 2023 Global SME Finance Awards
Share

Grooming Centre, a leading microfinance institution, has clinched the coveted 2023 Global SME Finance Award in the category of Best Financier for Women Entrepreneurs. This accolade reaffirms Grooming Centre’s dedication to supporting women-led businesses, marking a significant achievement for the institution.

Organized by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the SME Finance Forum, these awards celebrate institutions that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to providing financial products and services to SME clients. Endorsed by the G20’s Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI), the awards honor financial entities and fintech companies that have shown remarkable dedication to SMEs.

In its sixth year, the Global SME Finance Awards recognize effective and successful practices in the finance sector. They commend innovative products and services that have achieved remarkable results in extending financial support to SMEs, and the institutions driving these efforts.

Grooming Centre’s win in the Best Financier for Women Entrepreneurs category underscores their resolute commitment to delivering gender-inclusive financial services. This award acknowledges the substantial impact of Grooming Centre’s SME Loan product, which empowers women entrepreneurs with access to credit facilities of up to N10 million, offering one of the most competitive interest rates in the industry.

Expressing gratitude for this esteemed recognition, Dr. Godwin Nwabunka, Chief Executive Officer of Grooming Centre, stated, “We are immensely honored to receive this Honourable Mention at the 2023 Global SME Finance Awards. We will continue to innovate and provide tailored financial solutions that empower SMEs and foster economic growth.”
