inDrive Empowers Nigerian Youth Through "Level Up Your Drive" and Ibadan Startup Fest
Share

inDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform, has strengthened its commitment to youth empowerment in Nigeria by supporting two impactful initiatives: the “Level Up Your Drive” program and Ibadan Startup Fest. These programs aim to foster youth entrepreneurship, innovation, and accessible mobility.

The “Level Up Your Drive” initiative was launched on November 18 at the University of Ibadan and will conclude on December 6, 2024. This program is designed to:

  • Enhance Campus Mobility: Offer students affordable and fair transportation options.
  • Foster Community Building: Encourage engagement through interactive activities such as:
    • Free Wi-Fi Zones: Available at strategic points on campus.
    • Daily Engagements: With inDrive agents.
    • Weekly Raffles: Students completing five rides per week qualify to win branded items like bags and bottles.
    • 50% Sunday Cashback Offer: Making weekend commutes more affordable.

By the campaign’s end, over 2,000 students are expected to have benefited, with one lucky participant set to win a grand prize of ₦100,000.

Supporting Youth Entrepreneurship at Ibadan Startup Fest

inDrive is a proud partner of the Ibadan Startup Fest, which took place on November 29-30, 2024, at the International Conference Centre, Ibadan. This event brought together thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators.

inDrive’s contributions include:

  • 50% Cashback on Rides: Registered attendees received cashback on rides to the venue, redeemable by presenting their inDrive receipts.
  • Promoting Innovation: By supporting youth-focused events that inspire entrepreneurship and collaboration.

Timothy Oladimeji, inDrive’s Country Representative in Nigeria, emphasized the company’s dedication to fairness, innovation, and community-driven empowerment.

“At inDrive, we believe in fairness and community-driven change. Through initiatives like ‘Level Up Your Drive’ and our partnership with Ibadan Startup Fest, we’re empowering students and young entrepreneurs to connect, innovate, and thrive,” he said.

inDrive plans to expand its “Level Up Your Drive” program to other institutions, including the University of Benin and the University of Port Harcourt, by early 2025, amplifying its impact on Nigeria’s youth and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
