Imo State, Nigeria – Keystone Bank’s Women Economic Empowerment Committee (KWEEC) and Whispering Hope Africa Initiative (WHAIafrica) have joined hands in a remarkable collaboration dedicated to transforming the lives of female entrepreneurs in the Mbaise community of Imo State.

With a shared commitment to women’s empowerment and community development, this partnership aims to provide practical support and enhance the entrepreneurial skills and economic prospects of hardworking women in the region. Helen Maiyegun, Directorate Head of Lagos and West at Keystone Bank expressed the Bank’s enthusiasm for this collaboration and its dedication to promoting sustainable economic growth.

The joint initiative focuses on integrating financial literacy and entrepreneurial expertise to create a conducive environment for women-owned Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to thrive and succeed in their individual businesses. By equipping these women with essential knowledge, skills, and financial support, the program aims to unleash their potential and drive transformative impact in the community.

“At Keystone Bank, we believe in the transformative power of partnerships and community-driven initiatives. This collaboration with WHAIafrica exemplifies our commitment to empowering women and fostering a supportive atmosphere for their businesses to flourish,” stated Maiyegun, who also serves as the Chairperson of the KWEEC Committee.

The empowering event provided participants with comprehensive training on financial literacy, offering practical insights to effectively manage their finances and foster sustainable business growth. Through interactive sessions, the women gained valuable skills and knowledge to strengthen their enterprises and economic independence.

KWEEC and WHAIafrica share a vision of building a brighter future for women entrepreneurs in Imo State. As they embark on their entrepreneurial journey, armed with newfound knowledge and support, their success will serve as a testament to the potential unlocked through impactful partnerships and community-driven initiatives.

The collaboration between Keystone Bank and WHAIafrica signifies a powerful step towards women’s economic empowerment and demonstrates the transformative change that can be achieved when financial institutions and community-focused organizations unite in their commitment to support MSMEs and drive inclusive growth.
