Nigeria’s leading capacity-development platform for MSMEs, The Caladium Lagos SME Bootcamp (CLSME), says it has concluded a rebranding exercise to reflect rapid growth over the last five years.
According to the Caladium Consulting team, the SME Bootcamp’s owners, the new brand identity is expected to represent a crucial turning point, as it approaches its fifth anniversary in November 2022.
The team claims that Caladium Consulting has undergone a rebranding process and that the small addition of the word “Caladium” to the new SME Bootcamp logo symbolizes the company’s rekindled sense of hope, purpose, and enthusiasm along with a well-defined plan to realize its vision for MSMEs in Africa.
The Caladium Lagos SME Bootcamp is a nonprofit program that was created with the goal of ensuring the SME sector’s enormous potential to significantly boost economic growth is realized.
Established in 2017 by Ayo Bankole-Akintujoye and Oluwaseun Durojaiye, it is an Initiative to build the capacity MSMEs require to thrive in a constantly shifting operational environment. As a result, the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8 will be achieved with notable economic development.
With actual Bootcamps in Lagos and Ibadan, the Caladium Lagos SME Bootcamp has offered capacity-building seminars, grant opportunities, pertinent information, priceless tools, and mentorship to over 5,000 SMEs throughout Nigeria over the past five years.
Additionally, it has developed business pitch competitions that encourage and inspire entrepreneurs with strong business plans in order to boost the economy.
In addition to rebranding, the initiative is in discussions with domestic and foreign partners to increase its capacity to offer working capital financing alternatives through Fedhagap, a technology company it will launch later in the year.
Additionally, it is creating a SME growth hub to give entrepreneurs the fundamental business management skills they need to reduce SME mortality and boost the national economy.
Ayo-Bankole Akintujoye, Co-founder and Convener of the Caladium Lagos SME Bootcamp, said: “The CLSME team is committed to incorporating sustainable business practices into its operations as part of its ongoing growth strategy.
“With the 5th edition of the Caladium Lagos SME Bootcamp taking place on November 26th, the brand will transition from Lagos SME Bootcamp to a more recognisable Caladium Lagos SME Bootcamp.
“We believe that for the CLSME to consistently produce profitable, socially responsible, and relevant economic growth, we must represent our growth, express our difference, and enable MSMEs to inspire belief and success in their businesses.”
