Legal Startup Launches Online Legal Service Platform
Share

Get Law, a South African legal startup, has launched its online platform to ease the process of getting legal counsel, especially in this lockdown period.

Get Law was launched in May, and ever since its inception, its sole aim has been to simplify legal processes. The startup gives anyone and everyone the access to registered attorneys on-demand at a fraction of the conventional cost.

This business was conceived during South Africa’s level 5 lockdown. Every business venture aims to render quality service and of course, make a profit. Get Law does not make profit alone, it provides attorneys who find it hard to work remotely or those who have lost their jobs due to the pandemic with job opportunities.

‘’The business idea of operating a digital-only service came after evaluating the local digital landscape of businesses and how they are adapting to the new economic conditions,’’ said Ya’eesh Cader, Co-Founder of Get Law.

Presently, across the country, twelve attorneys are now offering their services on the online legal platform.

‘’For now, we are operating in South Africa alone, and we have plans to introduce our affordable and legal services across the continent.’’

‘’We have done well on the contracts and agreement part of our business while the paid-for virtual legal consultations have also been well received. In the very first month of launch, we have been profitable, and we’ve been fortunate enough to maintain that success,’’ Ya’eesh concluded.
