MTN Nigeria is charting a new course for business communication with the introduction of its advanced Communication Platform as a Service (CPaaS), a solution poised to transform how Nigerian enterprises engage their customers across digital channels.
At the recently held *NextNow Business Forum in Lagos, MTN, in partnership with Bayobab and META, convened top industry leaders, marketing executives, and public sector stakeholders to explore emerging trends in digital engagement and business enablement. The event served as a launchpad for showcasing the capabilities of MTN’s new CPaaS solution—a live demonstration revealed the platform’s potential to streamline communication, boost engagement, and improve customer experience.
Designed to be integrated into existing business systems, MTN’s CPaaS provides real-time, scalable, and personalised communication tools. It supports seamless interaction through SMS, voice, email, WhatsApp, and video—enabling brands to deliver consistent and meaningful conversations with their customers.
Speaking at the event, Akinbulejo Onabolu, Head of Enterprise Segment at MTN Nigeria, described CPaaS as a game-changing tool for businesses seeking to thrive in a fast-paced digital economy.
“This platform represents a complete transformation in how businesses engage with their customers,” Onabolu said. “With its official launch coming in Q3, we’re confident that CPaaS will become an essential solution for organisations aiming to build stronger connections and operational efficiency.”
The global CPaaS market is expected to grow from $14.7 billion in 2025 to $72.4 billion by 2035, according to data from Future Markets Insights reflecting growing demand for cloud-based, omnichannel communication platforms. In Nigeria, adoption is accelerating as companies increasingly seek solutions that offer mobile-first, rich media experiences while cutting costs and automating workflows.
During an interactive session at the forum, Omowunmi Olatunbosun and Bayobab’s Stephen Agbi emphasized CPaaS’s ability to deliver personalized, consistent communication that adapts to each stage of the customer journey. They noted that the platform’s mobile-friendly, multimedia approach makes it easier for businesses to provide value-driven engagement without technical complexity.
By investing in CPaaS, MTN Nigeria is not only equipping businesses with next-generation tools but also positioning them to compete in an increasingly customer-centric and digital-driven market. The initiative marks a strategic step forward in enabling Nigerian enterprises to scale, innovate, and meet evolving consumer expectations with agility.
