MTN Nigeria Enterprise Business, in collaboration with SpeechLogix and Zoom, has introduced Meetings+, a video conferencing platform tailored for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The General Manager of Business Enterprise at MTN, Mr. Charles Okonkwo, made this announcement during the launch press conference held in Lagos.
Zoom powers Meetings+ and aims to provide Nigerian businesses with an innovative platform tailored to their specific needs. Okonkwo highlighted that this collaboration aligns with MTN’s broader strategy of transitioning from a telecommunications company to a technology company, demonstrating their commitment to driving digital transformation in Nigerian businesses.
He emphasized that by offering innovative solutions like Meetings+, MTN aims to empower SMEs and contribute to the growth of Nigeria’s digital economy. Through collaboration with industry-leading partners like Zoom and SpeechLogix, MTN leverages its network infrastructure, technological expertise, and market insights to co-create transformative solutions.
Meetings+ combines Zoom’s video conferencing technology with SpeechLogix’s specialized capabilities to deliver a comprehensive communication platform. Haitham El-Hanafi, Head of Sales at SpeechLogix, highlighted that the collaboration with MTN Nigeria and Zoom was driven by a shared commitment to addressing the evolving needs of businesses. The collaboration was also commended by Dindembolo-Zaya Kuyena, Ag. Senior Trade Commissioner at the Deputy High Commission of Canada, who expressed excitement over the partnership. Omowunmi Olatunbosun, Head of SME Segment, Enterprise Business, highlighted that Meetings+ offers users the convenience of paying in Naira through Momo or via the MyMTN NG app. She emphasized that Meetings+ goes beyond attending meetings by empowering productive workforces, connecting teams, and achieving together.
