As the 2024 World MSME Day approaches, leading ICT company MTN Nigeria has announced a social media challenge aimed at encouraging creativity and innovation among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This challenge aligns with the annual event’s goal of recognizing the significant contributions of MSMEs to Nigeria’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

According to the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), MSMEs account for approximately 43% of Nigeria’s GDP and 84% of employment, highlighting their critical role in the economy. To commemorate World MSME Day, MTN Nigeria is inviting MSME entrepreneurs active on social media to participate in a creative challenge.

 Challenge Details

How to Participate:

  1. Create a Video: Business owners are required to upload a video showcasing their creative use of any of MTN’s business solution tools.
  2. Use the Hashtag: Include the hashtag #MTNMSMEChallenge in the post.
  3. Platforms: The challenge will run across all social media platforms until June 27, 2024.

Prizes:

– Grand Prize: Free radio publicity for the winning business.

– Other Prizes: Four additional participants will receive exciting prizes.

 MTN’s Business Solutions

Participants can utilize the following MTN business tools in their videos:

  1. 1. Meetings+: Powered by Zoom, this video conferencing platform integrates video, voice, and chat features. It offers daily, monthly, and yearly subscription plans with current discounts of up to 55%.
  2. 2. EyeSyte: A Wi-Fi/4G enabled smart device providing real-time, 24/7 security for businesses, assets, and homes. The devices will be discounted by 5% during the World MSME week.
  3. 3. ESET from MTN: A cybersecurity solution protecting data and devices from cyber threats without slowing down work.

 MTN Nigeria’s Commitment

MTN Nigeria’s initiative reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting small and medium businesses in Nigeria. By providing MSMEs with the right tools and encouraging their creative use, MTN aims to enhance the competitiveness and service quality of these enterprises, ultimately contributing to the nation’s economic development.

This challenge is a part of MTN’s broader efforts to empower MSMEs and foster an environment of innovation and growth within the Nigerian market.
