MTN Nigeria has announced a strategic partnership with Microsoft, aimed at providing advanced data hosting solutions and Microsoft Business Licenses to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria. This collaboration aligns with MTN’s commitment to accelerating the digitalization of businesses in the country by leveraging robust and reliable connectivity.

The partnership leverages Microsoft’s Azure Cloud platform to offer customers a comprehensive suite of services that blend flexibility, scalability, and security. This includes Virtual Machine (VM) Hosting for instant generation of virtual machines to address specific workload requirements, as well as Azure Virtual Desktop, which provides tailored features for enterprise environments.

Azure Backup is also highlighted as a key offering, addressing critical data protection needs in today’s cybersecurity landscape. Additionally, Microsoft Business Licenses integrated with Office applications offer benefits such as efficient employee management, personalized custom business email addresses, and a mobile-ready Office suite for seamless productivity across multiple devices.

Lynda Saint-Nwafor, Chief Enterprise Business Officer at MTN Nigeria, emphasized the significance of cloud solutions in today’s digital era, stating that they are not just a luxury but a necessity. She highlighted that leveraging Microsoft Business Licenses and Azure Cloud platform alongside MTN’s infrastructure ensures uninterrupted operations and propels growth for diverse customer segments.

Ola Williams, Country Manager for Microsoft Nigeria and Ghana, reiterated Microsoft’s commitment to empowering businesses with scalable and secure cloud solutions that enable growth and resilience in today’s digital economy. He emphasized the importance of driving innovation through strategic partnerships, highlighting the collaboration with MTN Nigeria as a testament to this commitment.

Overall, the partnership between MTN Nigeria and Microsoft aims to provide SMEs with the tools and resources they need to thrive in an increasingly digital business environment, fostering growth and success across various industries.
