Nigerian Agip Exploration (NAE), a subsidiary of Eni, has awarded postgraduate scholarships to 30 Nigerians under its 2025/2026 NNPC-NAE PSC Scholarship Awards Scheme.
According to the company, the beneficiaries were selected from over 1,500 applicants based on academic performance and results from a recent computer-based test. Ten of the awardees will study abroad, while the others will pursue postgraduate programmes in Nigerian universities across fields such as engineering, geosciences, petroleum and environmental technology, energy economics, renewable energy, and energy transition.
Speaking at the award ceremony in Abuja, NAE Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Fabrizio Bolondi, described the initiative as part of the company’s long-term investment in education and human capacity development. “The award ceremony highlights our continuous commitment to the future of education, innovation, and capacity building in Nigeria,” he said.
He encouraged the beneficiaries to maximise the opportunity to build skills that would contribute to national development, particularly in the energy sector.
Since its launch in 2007, the postgraduate scholarship scheme has produced 350 graduates, helping to bridge the skills gap in specialised fields relevant to deep offshore oil and gas operations in Nigeria.
