NASSI and Dangote Group Partner to Boost MSMEs and Drive Investment in Nasarawa State
Share

The Nigeria Association of Small-Scale Industrialists (NASSI), Nasarawa State Chapter, has formed a strategic partnership with Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) to promote investment opportunities in the state. This collaboration is part of the ongoing support by Dangote Group, which is also sponsoring the 2025 Nasarawa Trade Fair Exhibition. The exhibition, which officially opens on Wednesday in Lafia, the state capital, is expected to play a pivotal role in driving economic growth in Nasarawa.

NASSI Chairman for Nasarawa State, Nidan Sambo Manasseh, emphasized that the Trade Fair offers a unique opportunity for Dangote Group and NASSI to explore business prospects within the state. He expressed deep appreciation for Dangote’s financial backing and their partnership in advancing programs aimed at fostering youth and women’s employment through skills acquisition initiatives.

The 2025 Trade Fair aligns with Governor Abdullahi Sule’s vision for stimulating investment and unlocking growth. According to Manasseh, Nasarawa’s abundant mineral resources are a central theme of the exhibition, aimed at promoting value addition in raw material processing and manufacturing—key areas benefiting small-scale industries. He stressed that the Trade Fair will serve as a premier platform to connect potential investors with the state’s rich natural resources and vibrant workforce.

Dangote’s Nasarawa Sugar Company Limited (NSCL) in Tunga, one of the largest projects under the company’s Backward Integration Policy (BIP) in the sugar sector, was highlighted as a cornerstone of the partnership. The company’s broader investment in the state is part of its long-term commitment to driving economic transformation in Nigeria.

Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, Senior Special Adviser to the Dangote Group’s president, emphasized the company’s commitment to the partnership, noting that several Dangote business units, including Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria, Dangote SinoTruck, Dangote Sugar Refinery, Dangote Salt (NASCON), and Dangote Cement, would be actively involved in the Trade Fair. A dedicated Help Desk will also be set up at the pavilion to facilitate inquiries and engage with potential partners and stakeholders.
